On 10 March 2011 the Manchester District Registry appointed the Official Receiver as Provisional liquidator of SAS FIRE & SECURITY SYSTEMS LIMITED.

This followed the presentation by the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills of a petition to wind up the company in the public interest.
